I reached a big goal this week! I am officially more than halfway to my weight goal!!
I haven’t talked about my health and fitness on here because honestly I was uncomfortable and scared. Weight is something that I have struggled with for as long as I can remember. But the reality is this has been a long but healing year and I’ve made great progress. As of November 4, 2014 I have lost 31 pounds out of the 60 I plan on losing.
My health has definitely become a MUST and not just something that I should probably do. I know that the choices I make with my body won’t just effect me, but the future of my family. One of my BIG motivators is that my wonderful hubby and I want to start a family in the near future. I want to make sure that I not only have a healthy pregnancy and birth, but a healthy lifestyle. I want to live that out and not just talk about “what you should be doing” in theory.
Currently, my short term fitness goal is to lose another 10 pounds by Christmas. I would like to get involved in a local community that will encourage and motivate me in my fitness journey. I’ll keep you wonderful people updated on how my search goes. Are there any programs you like to do at home or a with a group? What motivates you to stay or get healthy?

I also realized today that my mindset this cold is totally different than the last time (back in July) I have not once thought “well this is it for the next while, I hope it doesn’t last too long” OR “forget you body, I’m going to run you in to the ground until you can’t run any longer”. Both are not a good mindset to be in. I’m taking care of my body but I have not “given up” in anyway or felt angry towards myself for getting sick. If you’re feeling that way towards yourself, take a moment with some deep breaths and be thankful for what your body does on a daily basis without you having to even think about it. It’s amazing!
So be kind to yourself today and keep pressing forward towards your dreams!
October was a really busy month for us, outstanding but busy. So this weekend we didn’t schedule a thing (go us). However, today I woke up not feeling super great, everyone I work with has been getting sick on and off for months. The office manager I work next to has been basically sick the whole time I’ve worked there 😦 BUT changing my diet has really helped with my immune system, before I would have been sick along with everyone else, so that is a real plus!
So on our lovely day off I will be drinking lots of water with lemon and something called Chlorella Mana to help me hopefully step over this potential cold/ sickness and not into it.

Found this at Whole Foods the other day while looking for a good protein powder for after workouts. I had to do a double take
